Minortide and the Banished Sea is the debut album from South African born Eland Gray (aka Gary Thomas). The Record was recorded between Cape Town, South Africa and Granada, Spain between November 2014 - May 2015.

"I feel like this is the solo record that I've been training for 20 years to write. It really and completely captures my live show and I think I've figured out how to let each part stand alone and in turn, groove properly. I'm excited to take it out onto the road all over Europe in the next year and just play the music".

Recording Setup: 2 Mics on voice, 2 mics on Guitar, 1 Line running out from guitar going through a BOSS Super Octave 03 Pedal and a BOSS Reverb/ Digital Delay RV-3 Pedal, 1 Wooden Stomp Box, Ernie Ball 13 gauge Everlast strings and 1 Violin Bow. And 1 Ebow.

Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, Eland Gray was Classically trained in school and later studied Jazz at University. His music blends rich, moody song writing with a vast array of alternative guitar techniques and precision multi- tasking.
